Process Engineer

 

The Role 

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced process engineer. As a process engineer, you will analyze and optimize manufacturing and industrial processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This includes process designing, troubleshooting, process optimization, process analysis, process documentation (SOP), quality control, project management, and quality assurance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement process improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the production facilities.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop, optimize, and improve production processes to enhance productivity, quality, sustainability, and safety.
  • Identify weaknesses or inefficiencies in current production processes and implement improvements to reduce costs, minimize waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technology, and equipment.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze process data, identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvements.
  • Perform capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence and meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with our core company values in all process engineering activities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, capture, and recapture rates to develop strategies to exceed production and quality targets.
  • Identify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution and documentation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology advancements, methodologies, and best practices.
 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Software) required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in process analysis, process modeling, statistical analysis, and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
